F*** Up Nights (FUN) is a global movement from Mexico where people come together to share stories of failure. FUN DXB is the culturally appropriate Dubai edition!
Failure can be annoying, but over time they become anecdotes to share and learn from. As Winston Churchill once said, "success is moving from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm."
The first FUN DXB event will take place on October 12th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm at ATÖLYE, Emirates Towers, Dubai.
Hosted by Letswork, the region's largest workspace network, users can connect with like-minded individuals and other entrepreneurs after the presentation of our main speakers.
Main Speaker 1: Mohammed Aziz (CEO of Pluto Card)
Tech entrepreneur, Y Combinator alum and winner of the AED1M Drones for Good award, Mo built one of the first open banking platforms in the region before he built a drone technology business in the Middle East. He is now the founder of Pluto - a leading B2B payments platform backed by some of Silicon Valley's most renowned venture capital funds. Mo also serves as a leading voice for MENA's fintech ecosystem and an advisor to early-stage companies.
Main Speaker 2: Necip Camcigil (Founder & Owner of One Life Kitchen)
As owner and founder of One Life Kitchen, Necip has seen it all. A Dubai native, Necip has quickly built one of the city's favourite cafes, located in the fashionable Dubai Design District (d3). He'll be sharing his story - the ups, the downs, their decision to become a licensed restaurant + their first steps to expanding across the city. No job in his cafe is too small - from waiting tables to running the kitchen, his Instagram handle @cashieroftheyear even features him with some of his famous (for Dubai) diners.
