Oracle México redefines failure with Fuckup Nights, driving innovation and collaborative learning in your team.
For years, we've brought the Fuckup Nights private event format to various tech giants. Oracle Mexico joined this list of change agents.
Oracle opened its doors to discuss failure and create a learning environment with its IT Architecture team, aiming to improve their processes and team integration.
This event also aimed to strengthen the work culture, encouraging attendees to openly discuss and promote continuous improvements in their products.
We designed this experience to cultivate a growth culture where improvements are continuously socialized to generate efficiencies.
Our goal was clear: To encourage a culture where speaking up to improve processes is not only accepted but encouraged by everyone.
Three team members, all managers and individual contributors, shared their experiences. Each speaker detailed instances where projects did not go as planned, how their relationships with clients evolved during these processes, and how these experiences prepared them to lead in such a competitive sector.
Sandra Dazathe team's director, shared with us:
“I want to thank you for yesterday’s space. I loved the session and have received very positive feedback from the team. These are spaces we never have and truly recharge us.”
This space allowed for creating personal connections in a team spread across various regions, which rarely has the chance to interact face-to-face.
One of the highlights of the event occurred after the formal presentations ended. Most of the attendees stayed for hours, sharing beers, anecdotes, and lessons learned throughout their years at Oracle.
These types of spontaneous and genuine interactions are seen at everyFuckup Nights event.. They demonstrate the power of creating a safe space, where connection through vulnerability encourages debate and continuous team improvement.
The collaboration between Oracle Mexico and Fuckup Nights exceeded all expectations, transforming a team-building activity into a powerful catalyst for change.
This event was undoubtedly key in strengthening the bonds of the Oracle team and encouraging them to continually step out of their comfort zones.
It also allowed them to share a joint vision of what it means to fail and overcome any obstacle as a team.
Our experiences help change the perspective on failure to understand it as part of a continuous journey of personal and professional growth.
