Karina, a Fuckupper from Berlin, felt the same way and decided to connect from a place of vulnerability

For Karina, networking has always been a way to meet people from diverse backgrounds. In practice, however, she encountered a common obstacle: sometimes networking events feel more like sales events, where people talk to impress rather than to truly connect.
After attending Fuckup Nights Barcelona, she discovered that getting to know someone through their “oh-shit” moment was a much more genuine way to build connections. When she saw that the Berlin license was available, she decided to take the plunge and become the chapter’s host.
Leading the chapter in the German capital as a newcomer to the city was a challenge. Karina even braced herself for the idea to fail and ended up telling her own story about how she “ruined Fuckup Nights another city.”
Instead, she found a community eager for a different vibe. The biggest impact she has seen is people realizing it’s okay to be authentic humans in business, with all the weaknesses and failure stories that entails.
“Simply sharing this supportive space already has an impact on each individual, and I’m confident that people will carry this mindset back into their own lives.”
