High Performance in Life: Event with Profuturo

At Fuckup Nights that leadership and vulnerability go hand in hand. That's why, when Profuturo contacted us to organize an event, we got to work creating a space where sharing stories of failure and lessons learned would serve as inspiration for their strategic planning for 2025.

We had the privilege of preparing the stories of two great leaders: Arturo García Rodríguez, Managing Director of Profuturo, and Regina Athie, Co-Founder and CEO of Cuéntame.

I want to share with you the two learnings that stood out most in the audience during the event that will help you feel like you were there 😁:

"Shielding everyone from hardship prevents them from growing and meshing as a solid team."

Learning 1: The importance of asking for help and letting go of ego

Let's start with something that resonated deeply: asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but of leadership.

Arturo and Regina shared how, in difficult moments, trusting the team and letting go of the ego were fundamental to overcoming challenges. This approach not only strengthens trust in teams, but also fosters a more human and approachable leadership.

Creating an environment where mistakes can be openly discussed is essential to building a culture of cooperation.

"We have to take care of our 4 energies - physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual - and the first one is the basis of all the others."

Learning 2: Being a high-performance athlete in life

Regina shared one of her most personal stories: her struggle with burnout.

"It all started with my 'all-powerful CEO' mentality," she confessed. This moment of breakdown led her to redefine her priorities and find balance between personal and professional. Her key pieces of advice were:

  • Self-care is key: Sleep, eating well and taking care of your mind are essential to staying in shape.
  • We are a work in progress: Uncertainty is part of the journey, and we do not need to be perfect to move forward.

Today, Cuéntame impacts thousands of people, and its message reminded us that professional success begins with personal well-being.

Innovative events to build resilient cultures

This event was a perfect example of how Fuckup Nights spaces where mistakes become learning experiences, fostering communication, networking, and cultural transformation.

Participants took away practical tools to apply in their lives, reinforcing the idea that failure is a channel for innovation and constant growth.

The impact of this event was evident in the reactions of the participants, we share with you the message of our Speaker Regina Arthie:

“What a great experience! Thank you so much for the invitation! I love collaborating with Fuckup Nights, they make what hurts fun and convey it through learning and vulnerability.”

We are deeply grateful to Profuturo and all the attendees for their trust and participation. This event reaffirms our mission to connect from vulnerability and work to create spaces of psychological safety that contribute to building stronger and more resilient teams.
